Yeri, Jennie, Jang Wonyoung: The Trifecta

1. Yeri:

People made so much fuss over her stage performance and her lack of synchronization with the members. The truth is, since debut, she's done her best despite receiving nothing but hate since she was added to the group. The kids around here who are wrapped up in an inferiority complex accused her of having a bad attitude (e.g. that she's rude, that she shows no manners to her group members, and so on) by nitpicking her words, her expressions, etc.

Then, when her stage performance turned into a controversy, Pann saw their chance! Kids who had once criticized Yeri for no reason now were excited to have an excuse to curse at her.

Since then, Pann have been making all these gifs and spamming the top posts, and on top of that, kids who are jealous of Irene for being pretty and receiving lots of attention started treating Irene and Yeri as a pair, comparing them against the other members and ostracizing them.

It's not an exaggeration to say that the fandom joined together to harass them. Joy, Wendy, and Seulgi akgaes criticized Yeri, and passed blame to Reveluvs.

2. Jang Wonyoung:

Even though she's young, her beauty is flawless and eye-catching, so Pann girls who went crazy with their inferiority complexes labeled her a "right-wingdol" [tr: "right-wing idol"] since they have nothing of worth to crtiticize, and rather than just cursing a certain company, went for her entire group. In particular, they attack her face and her body with insane standards.

Then, while obsessing over gifs that show her character, they cast out these fake "bait" gifs as if to ridicule her. Since Pann girls were getting a lot of flack calling them jealous and making a fuss over nothing, they had to come up with some kind of pretext.

Without knowing the context and just seeing the gifs, they argued there was discord between Jang Wonyoung and the Japanese group members. They claimed to be die-hard fans who knew all about it from the time she debuted on Produce 48 until now, and created an attitude controversy saying she was rude or whatever.

3. Jennie

Jennie is the #1 trending idol right now.

Like Yeri and Jang Wonyoung, she has a pretty face, and she has a high-class image. That is sufficient criteria to fill Pann girls with jealousy.

When she had no controversy to speak of, she'd get criticisms like, "They're only promoting Jennie" "She's not pretty." Since it seems like this wasn't enough, they also made up stories about her having problems with the other members.

Then there was her stage controversy, along with a rumor that she had some kind of relationship with a higher-up at her company. Pann then had a party with this and made all kinds of sex jokes and wrote mean comments.

Following that, on the 1st of January, her relationship was leaked. Until that time, she had never been connected to any male idols, but Pann girls refused to believe it, and made a bunch of posts about how she had a lovestagram with that group member.

Fans believed Pann and left the fandom.

[161, -64] I don't know about the other two, but Jennie is whatever.. She got what she deserves.
RE: The truth is that she's hotter than your unnis and oppas and that you still can't damage her even now is making you jealous ㅋㅋㅋ Sad
RE: What do you mean "got what she deserves" ㅋㅋㅋ Whether she had an attitude controversy or not, even before that you crazy bitches have been accusing her of bullying, of having a bad attitude, of being ugly, one after another

[158, -42] I have no words...
RE: I have no words = Since everything is correct, I'm too scared to speak up, I don't know what to do~~~
RE: What she said is correct and they know what they're talking about, but you can't stand to acknowledge it, so you just casually skimmed through it

[81, -18] + Taeyeon, IU, Nayeon
RE: But they all work really hard
RE: On broadcast, Nayeon kept trying to hide so you couldn't see her side profile, and I felt so bad... Where is there any flaw in such a pretty girl
RE: Before Nayeon was even on Sixteen she was accused of being a bully on Pann during her trainee days

[65, -11] But it's true that Yeri and Jennie are lazy on stage

[51, -3] It's disappointing that Yeri got so much flack when she joined Red Velvet. I have no real thoughts about Jang Wonyoung. I do like Jennie but I'm disappointed about her hurting her group.

[43, -8] I have no real thoughts about Yeri, I don't know who Jang Wonyoung is, but I don't like Jennie.

[40, -33] If Yeri gets cursed out, it serves her right ^^
RE: Wow ㅋㅋㅋㅋ You're crazy

[28, -8] But Jennie and Yeri deserve the hate
RE: I wonder what Yeri and Jennie would think if they saw your comment... Saying that girls you know nothing about deserve hate -- if you're going to leave comments like that, you should start working on your own self

[26, -4] The funny thing about girl group fans is that it's obvious that these hate comments towards female idols is from girl group fans themselves, but you're acting like you're fighting with boy group fans. As for Yeri in particular, I see so many comments from akgaes, but now you're all acting like you don't care.

[4, 0] I sympathize with all of it. I don't know them well, but Nayeon has been getting so much hate for her personality, looks, body, one after the other.

[2, -1] Wow I feel like I just drank something refreshing.

[2, 0] Taeyeon also gets a ton of hate

[1, -1] I'm a fan of boy groups, but I came here freaking out like "These girls, again???" I don't have any interest in them, but I always see Pann going after them like it's their life's goal, so I feel sorry for them. There are probably a lot of people like me.

"Memories of Alhambra" Writer Song Jae Jung: "The Reason You Die in Reality When You Die in the Game Is..."

Song Jae Jung explained in an interview on the 15th that the reason for the deaths are due to a virus in the game.

Q: "Why is Hyun Bin, or anyone who forms an alliance with him, in danger of dying in real life when they play the game?"

A: "It might best be understood as an infection by a virus. The murderous intent between Seju and Marco violated the rules within the game and caused an error to occur. Yoo Jin Woo and Cha Hyeong Seok, having that same desire to kill one another, caused the bug to expand the scope of the duel, making experience Jin Woo physical pain and preventing him from logging out of the game."

"What allows the game to access an augmented reality through the lens is that it makes it possible to control the brain," Song explained further. So while Jin Woo does experience genuine pain in battle and suffers from a limp in real life, there's a logic explanation for why his leg isn't hurt while in the game. To put it simply, it's "mind control."

As for the death of Cha Hyeong Seok, the autopsy revealed that he died from significant blood loss. But Cha Hyeong Seok's death wasn't a matter of "mind control," but rather due to incurring a physical injury, wasn't it?

Song explains, "Cha Hyeong Seok being drained of blood was used as a setup in the first half of the show. That he died of blood loss wasn't possible to confirm; it was the character's speculation. It was a line used to give anxiety as to whether Yoo Jin Woo was actually complicit in the murder of Cha."

[222, -6] What are we supposed to do if you're the only one who gets it... The point of an interview is to unravel the story and make us understand.
RE: [10, -1] This writer should just give up on dramas. She's making light of the viewers like she did with W.
RE: [8, -1] I agree... Making it so that viewers can follow along is the #1 priority
RE: [4, 0] She gave up on the story so now it's a melodrama or whatever.
RE: [10, 0] And because of that, while connecting it to the content of the drama, isn't the writer now giving spoilers? If that information comes out in the drama, the writer just spoiled us, and if there are no spoilers, the drama ends without any of the virus talk. Under normal circumstances, you would say "You'll understand why when you watch the show."

[107, -1] I feel like I still don't get it but... Since it's Hyun Bin, I'll watch it.

[77, -17] Mind control? If that's the case then how can you explain Hyun Bin being chased after by the police? Didn't the police say that he had a limp? They brought up how fast he got away, but were the police in the game all of a sudden? Nothing about this makes sense!!!!!! You might on your own understand this "mind control" business but based on simple common sense, a person with a limp getting away from that many police officers is ridiculous! Please write realisticaly! I watch and just get annoyed.
RE: [21, -4] It doesn't make sense???
RE: [36, -1] Right, it's mind control, but other people see it. It's illogical. He was limping on the CCTV and when the police saw him, he was running. The writer is nuts.
RE: [39, -2] Even if the police saw him, he was limping, but still fast. In the game he can run with both legs, but in reality it's a limp. It's still seems like he's the same speed.
RE: [31, 0] So in other words, mind control from the game causes him to feel pain, but his brain can't acknowledge the actual pain caused by his leg?
RE: [26, -1] They revealed this part. On the CCTV in Alhambra he did have a limp. That is, Yoo Jin Woo was limping, but he was imagining on his own that he was able to move around well.

[38, -1] Huh?

[57, -26] Struggling somehow to explain this mess... If that's the case then could you figure out how to write it properly? What are you doing after taking in such good actors... Seriously

[18, -1] You need to show that in the drama. Instead you're having to tell us in an interview. What kind of comedy is this

[17, -2] There are too many inconsistencies. She hit a wall with Nine... After that her work has been anticlimactic.

Policy Allowing Cell Phone Use After Work to Expand to All Military Units Starting April

A new plan to be rolled out from July on following test procedures: soldiers to be permitted outings after completing work.

All soldiers will be allowed to use their cell phones after work as of April. On the 16th, an official from the Ministry of National Defense revealed the test operation that permitted participating units to use personal devices after work would be rolled out for all military, including land, naval, air, and marine forces, stating further whether or not to make official the practice will be determined in July following the three-month trial period.

Soldiers will be permitted to use their personal devices following completion of duties from 6 PM to 10 PM. On personal days, usage will be restricted to 7 AM to 10 PM. Cell phone use is limited only to areas that are not subject to security restrictions. Recording audio and/or video will also not be permitted.

Soldiers who connect their phones to their PC or laptop, save military documents to their devices, or communicate or post on SNS will be subject to punishment. Officials state, "To foster a culture of both autonomy and responsibility, and to ensure that violations are treated with the appropriate accountability, we will establish basic rules for the entire military."

In addition, a trial application to allow soldiers to go out after work will be rolled out to all units next month. Soldiers will be permitted to leave from 5:30 to 9:30, a period of 4 hours. Activities permitted to soldiers include group activities, visitation, self-improvement, personal concerns (such as hospital treatment), which will not interfere with millitary readiness.

[2017, -376] We're in the middle of a disarmament.
RE: [137, -68] Isn't it strange that other countries have already implemented this, but only our country has waited this long to do it too? And don't make the excuse that we're in the middle of war... Other countries at war still allow cell phone use.
RE: [17, -32] The comments from these old hannam [tr: a derogatory term for Korean men] include the same kind of boasting. They all start with, "Back in my day~"

[1363, -441] "Secure communications" has now become the code word for 1988. The most fundamental aspect of national defense is "security"... This is truly "Misfortune" Moon's government of cretins...
RE: [188, -27] (This comment) smells like... "old geezer"
RE: [116, -7] If soldiers using their cell phones is enough to compromise national security, we're already lost.
RE: [50, -3] The soldiers aren't the one selling military secrets! That always comes from the fat cats at the top.

[809, -168] Are you watching, Kim Jung Un? Our military is a complete mess! Disarmament + tearing down the ceasefire barbed-wire + reducing military service + spies among the defence minister... Moon Jei In (tr: Moon Jae In's name is written as "문재인," but the commenter here wrote it as "문죄인." "죄" means "crime" or "criminal act.")

[728, -163] Is this really the military?

[650, -113] Seems like "Misfortune" has really lost his mind. He's leaking all of our military secrets. It gives me goosebumps to think that someone who has been to the army is demolishing military discipline like this.
RE: [28, -4] But it's not just that he went to the army and is now doing this, is it? It that he's doing this while clearly knowing that allowing phones in the army will be poison.
RE: [80, -12] But if there are military secrets that soldiers should know, doesn't that mean that other countries already know them? Is it really military discipline that you're worried about? Or is it that when you were in the military, you guys didn't have that kind of stuff, so you're jealous?

[267, -26] The problem isn't security, it's soldiers fighting with their girlfriends and the increased chance of them going AWOL. Seems like soon we won't have helicopter parents smacking the cheeks of their kids' teachers, but rather the cheeks of their squadron leaders.

Is She Really 40? Baby-Faced Beauty, Kim Sarang, Looks Even Younger with Her Fringe

Kim Sarang was born in 1978, making her international age 41 as of this year.

[126, -6] I acknowledge it.
RE: [1, -1] Her self-maintenance is so good; it's amazing...

[143, -76] If you're a single woman with money and no children who depend on you, you can look as young as you want.
RE: [54, -5] No, not you.
RE: [16, -1] It's something you're born with... You can't ignore what nature gave her. Of course, even surgery can't erase looking cheap.
RE: [2, -3] To be honest, no matter how pretty a celebrity is, after you've graduated from your 30s and moved on into your 40s, your appeal begins to fade compared to 20-something college women. Only Kim Sarang is different...
RE: [3, 0] Even if I were in her shoes, I still don't think I'd look like thatㅋㅋㅋㅋ
RE: [9, 0] Please, with the delusions... Let's just acknowledge it. Not everyone can be babyfaced.
RE: [19, 0] Fixing yourself up with money will shave off 2 or 3 years. If you have a lot of it, 5 years. But being in your 40s and looking like you're in your 20s is just something you're born with. Please reign back your inferiority complex.
RE: [3, 0] No, I'm in my early 30s and she looks younger than me.
RE: [4, 0] Fine, then don't get married and don't have kids ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Who is forcing you? ㅋㅋㅋㅋ You've made your own decisions and are misguidedly taking it out in the comments.

[58, -15] Women who don't get married or have kids are truly different from those who do!!!
RE: [6, 0] Uhh, Go So Young? Jun Ji Hyun? Lee Young Ae? They all got married and had kids?

[59, -41] Look at all the moms who came to this article and left their comments ㅋㅋㅋ Rather than living child-free, these momchoongs (tr: 맘충, a combination of the word "mom" and "bug." This term refers to mothers who Koreans view as acting as having special privileges, and fail to observe or practice social etiquette with their children) are naturally out here making noise. Lee Young Ae and Jun Ji Hyun don't have kids? It's called being blessed + taking care of yourself. You're using having kids as an excuse to let yourself go and blame your husband. Most working moms manage to take care of their kids and take care of themselves as the same time.
RE: [34, -3] Lee Young Ae and Jun Ji Hyun have housekeepers, personal trainers, and receive items to manage themselves and their skin. You're treating something like a delivery man envying a businessman with a silver spoon like it's the same as a difference in the level of self-care.
RE: [8, -1] All you cretins who are cursing mothers who don't have the means to send your wives to a fitness center, just don't get married

[21, 0] The obvious answer is to not get married.

[12, -1] I don't care what anyone says; the real babyface is 59 year-old Choi Hwa Jeong!

Record Low Quality Air... Incoming Cold Front to Gradually Improve Conditions

South Korea continues to suffer from low air quality due to the persistent presence of fine dust. Visibility in Seoul is about 2 km -- 1/10th of the visibility on a bright day. The rest of the country has a visibility range within 5 km.

The concentration of fine dust in Seoul is 130 micrograms and 167 in Yeoju, which far exceeds the already dangerous 76 micrograms. (35-75 micrograms is unhealthy; >76 is very unhealthy.) This is 5-6 times greater than normal.

Air conditions should continue to improve as the days proceed.

[3206, -338] What's scarier than the fine dust from China is the failure to mention the particles containing fatal carcinogens, and the fact that "Misfortune" Moon [tr: Moon "Jaeang" is a nickname for Moon Jaein. "Jaeang" is a word meaning disaster, etc.] continues to sit on his hands and do nothing to counteract it. It must be asked if this is what one would consider "leading a nation"?
RE: [+5, -78] 80% of the fine dust is not from China but from the exhaust coming out of the cars in our country. It's better to stop worrying about China and instead focus on managing our own country.
RE: [12, -1] Things haven't been good for an entire month now. Do we need to emigrate?
RE: [10, -1] I have allergies, and as of last night my nose is stopped up and I can't even breathe. I wish I could blow my nose, but my nasal passages are swollen and I'm so congested it's driving me crazy. What's worse is that I was wearing a mask all day.
RE: [45, -31] So what were you doing when Park Geun Hye was president? Are you also one of those morons who thinks the fine dust is from cooking mackerel? [tr: Back sometime in 2016, the press misinterpreted mackerel as the cause for fine dust based on a report from the government.]
RE: [18, -31] What does the fine dust have to do with government??? If we're talking about eco-friendly measures, it's not like you should be picking the money-obsessed conservative party.
RE: [10, -2] No matter what he says about it, it will make headlines and his approval rating will go down, so whether citizens are afflicted or not, he's wise enough to look away and keep his mouth closed.

[1446, -40] If we can't get through to China, isn't it diplomatic to in the very least lean on the US for influence?
RE: [19, -26] The biggest problem is that regardless of who is president, in the future the fine dust will just get worse!!!
RE: [19, -25] Well, Park Geun Hye said that you shouldn't be cooking mackerel, right~~ Whoever's out there eating it, turn yourself in!!
RE: [53, -4] The problem is that Trump already dislikes Moon Jaein, so that's a no go. We've also become distant with Japan's Abe... We're international outcasts.
RE: [3, -2] Why would America help usㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋWhat are you talking about

[1143, -90] A government that came into power through public sentiment and now ignores public sentiment
RE: [11, -3] Super "Misfortune" Moon who can't resolve the issue with the fine dust! People who voted for "Misfortune" Moon, please reflect.

[462, -21] It's even written in our history books about how people died during the Great Smog of London. Since it's a natural disaster, I don't know if the point is that it couldn't be helped.
RE: [33, 0] The funny thing is that the fine dust ISN'T a natural disaster...
RE: [13, -2] We really will die if it goes on like this... It keeps getting worse as the days pass, and it's not like we're in the situation where we can all just emigrate.
RE: [6, 0] I also somehow feel as if something like that will happen...

[290, -3] If you're not completely broke, please don't buy the Xiaomi air purifier. I saw Xiaomi had gone up in the real-time search and I freaked out.
RE: [31, -1] The more people buy Xiaomi, the worse the fine dust in our country gets. Please don't buy Xiaomi.

[110, -6] Mr. President, is this the society people are meant to live in? Is there even one thing that has improved since changing parties? I'm really curious~ What are you even doing?

Passion Sparks Between Park Shin Hye's and Hyun Bin's Characters as a Dangerous Love Unfolds

[294, -6] Every time I look at them, Hyun Bin remains handsome and Park Hye Shin remains beautiful.

[103, -7] Ah~ It's so good, their chemistry is over the top. Please do another romantic comedy again next time.

[113, -24] You could figure out where it's going 10 minutes before it ended. As of recent... the story seems to be going a bit slow.
RE: [2, 0] I agreeㅠㅠ
RE: [3, -3] Same. It's so different from the beginning and has slowed down a lot.
RE: [4, -4] Right? I felt like almost nothing got resolved last episode. And the product placement was too obvious, like the earrings and the makeup.
RE: [3, -1] It is slow compared to the other works the writer received a lot of praise for, like W and Nine. To be exact, under normal circumstances, when it reaches this point in a story, the viewers or the characters understand the details of the fantasy elements (like if something happens, what is happening and how it happens), and that these can be manipulated one way or the other to reach a resolution. But there's still no explanation of the the structure of the game system (like why if you form an alliance with the main character, the dead appear as NPCs and why you can be hurt in reality), and without knowing that, the main character is forced to make the uninformed choice to proceed with the quest.

[87, -2] Lots of praise for Park Shin Hye's ability to act her way through a roller coaster of emotions.

[76, -4] In every work she's in, whether it be during romantic comedies or melodramas, Shin Hye's biggest draw is her ability to bring out chemistry. She's a really good actress.

[30, 0] Seems like the writer should both be thankful and apologetic to Park Shin Hye. The impossible was made possible thanks to her pretty acting.

[29, 0] The undeniable queen of melodramas.

The Alliance Between 'Memories of Alhambra' Hyun Bin, Kim Ui Sung

[262, -4] The scene where Hyun Bin forms an alliance with Kim Ui Sung was so exhilarating. Let's please stop doubting Jinwoo now.
RE: [3, 0] I also want to form an alliance with Hyun Bin.

[215, -12] Whether it's Hyun Bin's front side, back side, or profile, it's all perfection. He looks perfect in suits or casual dress. His voice is also perfect. He's... just... so... w..ow
RE: [4, 0] ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋI agree
RE: [5, -3] I feel like he's even prettier than Park Shin Hye.

[159, -3] I predict the next episode will be really entertaining due to finding out about Emma's abilities and seeing Professor Cha die of fright from the alliance. But I hope that Emma has a revive ability. ㅠㅠSave Seo Jung Hoon
RE: [8, 0] Even if she could revive, there's no way she could save him. They've already held a funeral in the real world.
RE: [3, 0] Rather than be able to revive, it's possible she has healing powers or can open a portal.

[116, -7] Wow, but isn't a viewership of 8.1% really good? It seems like this drama is super popular with the younger crowd.
RE: [9, 0] This 50-something ajumma likes it too.
RE: [5, 0] Since Song Jae Jung's stories are so unusual, older individuals (like our parents) have a hard time understanding them. So it seems like they're much more popular with the younger generation!
RE: [3, 0] I'm also in my 50s ㅎ

[98, -9] Hyun Bin is freaking handsome and freaking stylish. The reality that there are only 4 episodes left still hasn't hit me. Even though I want to see more of Hyun Binㅠㅠ

[25, -1] There's such a big difference between Park Shin Hye as Emma and Park Shin Hye as Heejoo. When Emma smiled in the last episode, her aura was just crazy.

"Memories of Alhambra" Hyun Bin "Revealing Chanyeol's Whereabouts"

[206, -2] It's so so entertaining and I think if the last 4 episodes come out well it'll be a masterpiece.

[159, -1] When will Hyun Bin come out with another drama? I'm really sad. ㅠㅠㅠㅜㅜ Sigh.

[123, 0] Because of Hyun Bin, I look forward to the weekends. He's a really great actor.

[95, 0] I'm really curious how the last 4 episodes will turn out! When each episode unfolds, it's like I'm watching it filled with wonder! I'm happy just being able to see Hyun Bin every week.

[26, 0] The biggest mystery in this drama isn't Chanyeol's whereabouts or what's wrong with the game. It's how two women could have cheated on and left Hyun Bin.
